Getting things done: Keeping track of all you have to do can be almost overwhelming as your career advances. I use the gimmicky-sounding "Getting Things Done" [GTD] approach (focus on next actions to do for each project). There's a book and various paper and software implementations (I use MonkeyGTD with a subversion repository). GTD doesn't work for everyone, and the cultish following is a bit scary, but some way to stay organized can be really helpful.
